PLANNING KC WEDDINGS

– On March 1, 2001 the only full-service
online resource exclusively serving Kansas City
area brides and grooms will launch on the World
Wide Web. KC Weddings .net will provide a ‘one-stop
shopping’ experience for engaged couples
planning a wedding, reception and/or honeymoon
in the Greater Kansas City area. With a few clicks
of the mouse, these couples will access information
and resources to help them with every step of
their wedding plans, including a comprehensive
directory of local wedding-related vendors.
"With so
many national wedding-oriented sites on the Internet,
finding regionally specific wedding planning resources
can be like looking for a needle in a haystack,"
laments site creator Joel Ammons, a certified
wedding specialist with the Bridal Association
of America. "Searching for appropriate vendors
and locations can become even more difficult for
the bride and groom planning a wedding long distance."
KC Weddings .net
will address a multitude of concerns for engaged
couples in Kansas City and surrounding areas.
Regular features will include an advice column,
a calendar of local events, a full-service wedding
planning section, and links to other wedding and
region-specific web sites. In addition, local
couples will be able to communicate with other
Kansas City engaged couples through a highly-developed
interactive bridal forum. The website launches
March 1, 2001.
